YouTube Tests ‘Ask Studio’: A New AI Assistant for Creators
YouTube is testing Ask Studio, an AI assistant to help creators quickly analyze channel performance, summarize viewer comments, and generate content ideas. Find out how this tool simplifies YouTube management.
Managing a YouTube channel can be tough. Understanding what content works, how viewers find your videos, and what you should post next isn’t always clear. YouTube gives you tons of data, but it takes time to figure out what it all means.
To make things easier, YouTube is testing Ask Studio, an AI assistant inside YouTube Studio. This tool helps creators access key insights quickly. You can ask the AI questions like “What’s working on my channel?” or “How are viewers finding me?” and get direct answers in seconds.

This feature was spotted by a YouTube consultant, Aniket Mishra, and he tested it on a channel and got answers like, “Most of your views are coming from Browse. Optimize for home feed,” and “Search is bringing in 678 views. Suggested is giving 420. Focus here.”

Ask Studio takes the guesswork out of managing a YouTube channel. It summarizes comments, analyzes performance, and suggests content ideas—all in one place. Creators no longer need to jump between tabs to find the right insights.
The feature is still in testing, and YouTube has not yet rolled it out to all creators. The company plans to expand it based on user feedback, with more details expected in future Creator Insider videos.
This is part of a growing trend of platforms using AI to improve analytics.
As AI continues to evolve, such tools can help creators and marketers make smarter, data-driven decisions more easily.
