LinkedIn Adds Post Notifications for Follower and Profile View Insights
LinkedIn now notifies users when posts drive profile visits or new followers. Here's how this update helps creators track what’s working without checking analytics.
You could already see which LinkedIn posts brought you profile views or new followers. But now, LinkedIn will tell you directly.
When someone visits your profile or follows you after seeing a post, that update will show up as a notification. Just like when someone likes or comments. These notifications highlight three things: profile views, new followers, and impressions.

So basically, you no longer need to open the analytics tab to understand if something worked. If your post led to action, LinkedIn will let you know.
This update was announced by LinkedIn’s VP of Product Management, Gyanda Sachdeva, in a short product post.
For creators, consultants, or anyone trying to build visibility, this is a helpful shift. Views and likes are easy to measure, but they don’t always show progress. Profile visits and followers are clearer signs that your content is creating interest.
The response so far has been positive. Some users called it encouraging, especially at a time when impressions are dropping for many. Others asked for longer-term insights and more flexible ways to track what’s working.
It’s a small change, but it moves in the right direction. Less guessing, more feedback. And for people trying to grow on the platform, that can make a real difference.
