TikTok is now testing its version of ‘Broadcast Channels’
TikTok is going to get its version of 'Broadcast Channels.' Official sources have confirmed that the platform is now testing 'Bulletin Boards' and some popular creators like Jonas Brothers already have access to it!

As of now, rather than a full-scale launch, the feature remains in a closed beta, allowing a select group of creators and brands to trial its capabilities and provide feedback ahead of a broader rollout.
What are bulletin boards?
- A one-to-many messaging channel where only the creator can post updates.
- Supports text, photos and short videos.
- Followers can react with emojis but cannot reply with comments.
Who’s in the beta?
So far, TikTok has invited a handful of high-profile accounts to trial Bulletin Boards, including People Magazine, Paris Saint-Germain F.C. and the Jonas Brothers. This limited rollout gives TikTok critical feedback before opening the feature more broadly.
Why bulletin boards?
The primary aim of Bulletin Boards is to give creators a reliable way to reach their audience without relying on the unpredictable For You feed algorithm. By delivering updates in a one-to-many format, creators can ensure that announcements about new videos, live streams or special events land directly in viewers’ inboxes, strengthening the connection between talent and fans.
This move follows similar launches by other social platforms. Instagram has already rolled out Broadcast Channels earlier this year, and YouTube has been experimenting with its own community update features. TikTok’s test underscores the intense competition among major apps to offer the best mix of short-form video, direct messaging and community tools to keep creators engaged and monetize their followings.
What’s next?
TikTok hasn’t announced a full launch date. Observers expect richer capabilities down the road: polls, analytics dashboards and perhaps subscriber-only posts. If the trials go well, Bulletin Boards could roll out to all creators in the coming months — marking TikTok’s latest push beyond short videos toward deeper community engagement.
